Now that the Holidays are behind us, it’s time to flip a few calendar pages and get moving on the next boating season. As you can see from the YCCSC 2010 Event Calendar, there are events planned for the third weekend of every month, so there are many opportunities to volunteer and participate in the fun! I genuinely hope to see most of you at most of them. Post the calendar on your refrigerator as a reminder.
Kicking off the season is the Wine and Cheese Party at the Cape Clubhouse on February 19 at 7pm. Mary, Cheryl and Theresa have been organizing, working and thinking hard on this one. As usual there will be the photo albums and slide shows, door prizes, and a 50/50 Raffle. Your paid membership enters you in the drawing for door prizes (and you must attend to win). This year’s theme is “Great Wines for Summer on the Bay”. Cheryl Molesky is picking out a special group of excellent wines that would be perfect for picnics on the beach or at anchor in some quiet cove on the Bay.
Don’t forget to bring new/prospective members to join in on the fun. There are over 700 boats in Cape St Claire, and only about 60 families are members. Please bring your boating neighbors and friends to join us. As a reminder, members pay $10 a couple at the door. Non-members pay $20 at the door but get the half the price of admission as a discount on YCCSC Membership Dues if they join that night.
Please confirm the information on your 2010 Membership Application, mail it in with your dues, and get ready for a great year. As a reminder, the Membership Application, Calendar and other information is all available at www.yccsc.org.
I like to welcome aboard our new members, Adil and Ferhan Kilical. They join last fall at the end of the season. Be sure to introduce yourself to them at the Wine and Cheese party.
See you at the Wine and Cheese and on the water! Bring a friend!
